Mission

To foster authentic cross-sector relationships to advance the progress of the environmental movement toward a just transition to equitable funding. We shift power and resources from institutions to grassroots leadership as we transform the environmental movement.

Vision

We envision a world where even the most marginalized communities are protected from the disparate effects of environmental and climate disasters, where health and livelihoods are restored, and communities are thriving. A world where environmental justice organizations are key players in decision-making spaces, and have the power, resources and influence to ensure equity is front and center of climate mitigation and ecological solutions.

Our Values

At BEA, grassroots leadership drives our mission, grounded in the Jemez Principles for Democratic Organizing. These principles shape our commitment to nurturing authentic relationships that strengthen collaboration across sectors.
